Information

This is the first collaboration between James Holland and Al Murray. Marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, it tells the story of the extraordinary summer when the greatest conflagration the world had ever known came to an end after six surrenders in Europe and two in Japan. It shows how these moments – with Montgomery at Luneburg Heath, Eisenhower in Reims, Zhukov in Berlin and MacArthur aboard the USS Missouri – had profound consequences. Rich in drama, this book reveals untold stories and fresh perspectives. James will be in conversation with Alistair Moffat.
