Information

Kerri Andrews reveals the hidden histories and present-day pathways of walking, motherhood and freedom. The desire to walk is something that defines us as human beings, bringing joy and connection. In the wake of becoming a mother, Kerri undertakes a series of journeys on foot to understand what happened to her. Traversing urban, rural and mountainous landscapes in the North West and Scotland, Kerri includes three walks from across the Tweed Valley where she lives. She is joined by women whose experiences as mothers have also changed them, sometimes radically. Melding history, landscape-writing and memoir, Pathfinding is a deeply personal, brave and urgent exploration of motherhood.
