Information

Our Trade: How journalism has changed out of all recognition in the last 40 years. This is not a book, but an important discussion of one of the most vital facets of democracy and how the coming of the internet, and the massive reach of platforms like Facebook and X have overwhelmed traditional news outlets, and their traditional values. Andrew, Sally and Alistair will talk about the increasingly minor role that balance, objective truth, untampered statistics and common sense seem to play. And perhaps all three will discuss how to navigate a way through what might be news, and what might not.
