Mollie Hughes: Life Lessons from the Edge of the World

Mollie shares lessons from Everest and Antarctica, showing how extreme adventure can inspire resilience in everyday life.

8:30pm ‐ 9:30pm
JRW Hogg & Thorburn Marquee
Harmony Garden and Orchard, St Mary's Road, Melrose, TD6 9LJ

Information

Mollie has climbed Everest from both sides, skied solo from the edge of the Antarctic 700 miles to the South Pole through storm-force winds, 8-day whiteouts and temperatures as low as -45. Part memoir, part manifesto, her new book, Breathe, shows how Mollie’s experiences of extremes can help us cope with everyday issues, problems and dilemmas. The book also challenges stereotypes in interviews with outstanding women adventurers and delivers life lessons from the edge of the world to us all.
